Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Statement of Attainment (SOA)?
A statement of Attainment is a nationally recognised certificate signifying you have received the correct training and competencies for a given training course. These certificates may only be issued by Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s), such as Hunter Plant Operator Training School.

Why can’t I book and pay for a refresher course?
Before attending annual competency ‘Refresher’ training you will need to supply us with your Statement of Attainment (SOA) received from previously carrying out the ‘Initial’ course. This is to ensure you have previously received the correct training and certification.
What is a USI?
Your Unique Student Identifier (USI):
- Creates a secure online record of your training and qualifications gained in Australia, from all recognised training providers
- Gives you access to your training records and transcripts
- Can be accessed online, anytime and anywhere
- Is free and easy to create
- Stays with you for life
If you are a new or continuing student undertaking nationally recognised training, you need a USI in order to receive your qualification or Statement of Attainment. If you don’t have a USI you will not receive your qualification or statement of attainment.
You can search for your USI here.
